most wouldn’t wish for rain on their wedding day, but once you see the way the texas rain showers covered #aandbabe gretchen’s greenery filled ceremony with a serene sense of timeless tranquility, well you might just want a magical mist hanging over your ceremony too.
gretchen put it so beautifully when she shared, “our day was perfectly imperfect and we loved every minute of it! we had planned an outdoor ceremony and reception with 50 of our most beloved friends and family members. it started pouring down rain 10 minutes before the ceremony start time and our guests were shuffled to a tented area to stay dry. we tried to wait out the rain, but it was not stopping, so we decided to move the schedule around. we ended up having our cocktail hour first, inside the venue, which ended up being a blessing in disguise. we were able to mingle with guests, calm our nerves, and keep dry while the rain kept coming down. there was a small window in the weather where the rain let up and the sun started to shine, so us and all of our guests rushed down to the ceremony site so that we could get married”.
as soon as everyone rushed out it started to sprinkle, but nothing could stop these two from saying i do. splashing through puddles as her dad walked her down the aisle, gretchen was certain that the weather had created a more intimate and joyful environment than they could have ever imagined. these two were engulfed in love and ready to promise forever among the swaying trees and supportive stares of their friends and family members.
every detail was so romantic, from the way gretchen’s ‘harlie’ by made with love gown softly glistened to the greenery crown placed around her half-up-half-down bridal hairstyle. this relaxed austin villa wedding venue was perfect for the couple’s elegant and laid-back wedding day.
