there are so many routes you can take when planning a classic fall wedding at a colorado farm. for some, leaning into the time of year is the perfect way to pick color palettes and decor. for others, the venue itself provides plenty of inspiration. #aandbabe lauren and sam’s love of nature was ultimately the driving force behind their mountain wedding at woodland wedding venue.

much of lauren and sam’s desire to choose a farm and mountain wedding venue in colorado came from their love of nature. lauren explains, “we met skiing black diamonds at arapahoe basin and he proposed on top of vail ski resort. it’s safe to say we love being outside in nature. when we were planning our wedding that is exactly where we wanted to be. nature calms our minds and makes us feel right at home.”

since lauren and sam’s wedding backdrop was that of lush forests and towering peaks, the two decided to keep the wedding color palette neutral and embrace earthy wedding colors.

neutral bridesmaid dress colors

lauren’s bridesmaids got ready in black lounge sets with matching black button downs. lauren contrasted in a white bridal lounge set and a ribbed button down shirt.

when it came time to change into formal wear, each bridesmaid slipped into a unique ivory, taupe, or champagne dress. these earthy shades were the perfect selection for their effortless and elegant fall wedding theme.

mountain blue velvet ring boxes

while most of lauren and sam’s color choices were classic, the two couldn’t help but incorporate their love of mountains into a few color pops! selecting a deep indigo hue for their blue velvet ring boxes, lauren and sam were able to add depth and serenity to some of their detail shots.

sunset inspired orange and white wedding florals

another vibrant color selection was lauren and sam’s orange and white wedding florals. by choosing warm wedding flower tones like orange, dusty pink, and terracotta, they were able to add a bit of drama to their timeless wedding palette.

custom cap sleeve wedding dress

when shopping for a mountain wedding dress, lauren visited our a&bé boise bridal shop. once lauren knew she wanted a modern wedding dress, anais anette’s clean silhouettes and intricate lace details caught her eye! anais anette’s ‘mattea’ wedding dress felt particularly perfect for their simplistic forest wedding.

while lauren loved this crepe mermaid bridal gown with flutter lace, she did want some sort of sleeve element. upon discussing customization options, lauren decided to say yes to this anais anette wedding dress and add a custom cap sleeve!

inviting farm wedding reception

after their mountain outlook wedding ceremony, everyone gathered in the modern-industrial barn. rustic wooden banquet tables lined the room and lauren and sam’s sweetheart table was positioned at the center. sitting right in front of the venue’s oversized barn doors, soft white draping framed their sweetheart table and the stunning forest view from outside.

as lauren and sam entered their reception, their loved ones cheered them on and waved their olive green dinner napkins in the air. following dinner, many guests found their way to the dance floor where they enjoyed the live band and a reception sweet treat from little man ice cream!

lauren and sam soaked in every moment of their special day. lauren stated, “it was a breathtaking day surrounded by pine trees on a perfect fall day celebrating love, friendship, and happiness. i wouldn’t change a thing”.
