Real Wedding: Erin + Thomas :: Industrial Downtown Wedding in Wtoo

From the bride:

Erin (the bride) and Thomas (the groom) met through work, and dated for just 4 months before Thomas proposed on the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis. Erin is a University of Minnesota grad from St. Paul, MN. She loves the Twin Cities and, more specifically, the Mill District area of Minneapolis. The venue choice was easy, and proved to be a good one. Since Thomas, and most of his friends and family, are from Tennessee, the couple knew they wanted a downtown locale that showcased the history and beauty of the City of Lakes.

August 13, 2016 was a perfectly clear, sunny 80 degree day in Minneapolis. Erin started out the day with a run along the Mississippi river, which is not only her favorite way to clear her head, but also is literally the connector between her hometown, his hometown, and the town in which they first met - La Crosse, WI. Since the ceremony started at 6, the wedding parties had a leisurely day-of experience. The ceremony was held in the courtyard of Mill City Museum, with cocktail hour to follow to take advantage of the perfect Minnesota summer evening. The couple shared their first dance to "Tennessee Whiskey" by Chris Stapleton (fitting) and since the majority of the brides' friends were dancers at the University of Minnesota, the reception inevitably became a high energy dance party (at one point there was a Tennessee- Minnesota fight song battle, that featured a full-on sideline routine). The reception went on strong until midnight, thanks to top-notch DJ, Bengi, and concluded with a sparkler send-off.
